HUMANS

A group of friends living in St. Elise, Oregon. I've thrown around a few plot ideas for how they fit into the Hell side of the universe, but I won't add it here until I make a decision.

Jodie admiring a butterfly while watering plants in a greenhouse.

Jodie Daniels

Heir of the Daniels' greenhouse, which shes already worked at since she was 14. Not only would she never hurt a fly, but she's the kind of person who would cry if someone else did. A childhood of bullying and ostracization did not deter her from wearing her heart on her sleeve, though her dedication to kindness, no matter what, makes her more than a bit of a pushover.

Andrea sitting at a desk. On the desk is a modern laptop and 90s computer, the latter of which has bluescreened.

Andrea Balakrishnan

Dove headfirst into college debt to study computer science. A lover of technology since childhood, be it his brand-new school laptop or the clunky 90s computer that still works, sort of. Laidback and down-to-earth, often to the extent of being seen as unemotional. His pragmatic approaches can also come off as insensitive, unintentionally.

Meghan crouched next to a toilet stall where the word ''ACAB'' has been carved. She's smiling towards the camera and doing a peace sign beneath the carving.

Meghan Perez

Shoplifting and vandalism are her favorite crimes. Although her mothers tried their best to fix her, she never really grew out of her anger issues, though she did get into the habit of only breaking her own things, not other peoples'. Unless it's private property. Despite her devil-may-care attitude, she cares deeply about and wants to protect the people in her life. From what? The Man, presumably.

Carmen sitting at her desk, drawing on a tablet. She's currently turned away from the tablet and looking at a text on her phone.

Carmen Woods

A digital artist with an obsession for cryptids and other world mysteries. Though her parents agreed to pay for her tuition, their disappointment in her pursuit of the arts is almost tangible. Socially awkward but extroverted, she's a loner desperate to make friends but failing most of the time. At that very least, shes managed to keep the friends she has, who are quick to clear the air of awkward conversations and change subjects faster than her face can return from beet red.

Randy standing in front of the door to a retail store. He's doing finger guns next to a sign that shows a prohibition symbol over a gun symbol.

Randy Young

The "class-clown" that never really grew out of it. He dreams of Hollywood while stuck in retail. A college dropout, as despite doing well in high-school, his mental health spiraled shortly after. He uses comedy to mask his insecurities, but his friends don't find the self-deprecation very endearing. He still manages to be a fun guy to hang around regardless.

James trying to paint, but his corgi is begging for attention.

James Young

Loves nothing more than to paint a beautiful landscape in the peace of her room, or sit on the porch on a quiet, summer afternoon. A bit shy, and they're certainly not the talkative type. He's studying the arts at college and trying not to let the stress of his familys' financial straits kill him. Her happy and relaxed demeanor leaves her friends and family unaware of her struggles.
